During its (now long past) heyday of wireless access resale, WWC announced a 'strategic partnership' with Clearwater ISP Intelligence Network:

August 9, 2000
IntNet (Intelligence Network Online, Inc.) a Regional CLEC/ISP based in Clearwater, FL announced today that it has secured a contract with Wireless WebConnect! (WWC.com) to provide the Internet backbone for WWC.com customers

(The news release has since disappeared from this page on the IntNet corporate website, possibly because of the fracas surrounding the Metricom meltdown and subsequent collapse of its erstwhile partners at WWC.)

It's not hard to deduce why Wireless! Web Connect sought out a relatively minor player on the broadband provider scene when looking for a Florida partner for its Ricochet reselling business: IntNet is owned and operated by George Pilat, a longtime Scientologist, former Guardian's Office operative and a named unindicted co-conspirator in the case of Operation Snow White, still the largest domestic espionage case in United States history. (Pilat was one of the "bodyguards" who held Michael Meisner prisoner at a series of 'safe houses' in an ultimately doomed effort to prevent him from turning himself in to the FBI for his role in the Snow White break-ins.)

According to this story from the Globe and Mail, Pilat was responsible for the South-eastern United States Guardian's Office operations.

His partner in the business is Bruce Ullman, also an ex-Guardian's Office operative and unindicted co-conspirator. Bruce is listed as a director of IntNet in the company's corporate records, courtesy of the Florida corporate database, and during his GO days, was the director of the Guardian's Office "Branch 1" in Washington DC.

WWC's Deac Finn, of course, was Assistant Director of Boston's B1 during the same period, which would have given the two ex-spooks something to chat about during business meetings between WWC and Intnet. In his role as B1 director, Ullman also drove Michael Meisner to the airport following his near-arrest after being caught inside the IRS building by two federal agents.
